My truth – Part one

LOVE is…

Sisterhood, my soul sisters. Bonds that transcend time and distance, always offering unconditional love and support through not only the good but the tough times, too. My biggest cheerleaders—loving me for who I am and who I want to become. Encouraging my dreams, supporting my growth, protecting my heart, and catching my falls, no matter how many there may be.

Two friend kissing and sharing fun moments.

Couch cuddles with Miss Frida. It’s the puppy whimpers whilst fast asleep, the countless face licks/pup kisses (yep, even her drool!), her warm, toasty feet smell, her loyalty, her sass, her attachment and her bond with her mama. It’s the company that only a four-legged friend can provide. Always joyous to see you arrive home and sad to see you leave. Puppy love is the best kinda love.

The ocean. The smell of the salt in the air, the sound of waves licking the sand. Spending an afternoon seaside, book in hand, sand caressing my toes, sun kissing my skin. It’s the fairy floss shades of pink and peach that colour the sky in the mornings and the sun setting over the shore.

FREEDOM is…

Being true to myself and authentic in who I am. It’s having the confidence and belief that I am worthy to be loved as me, as all of me, and worthy of all I want to achieve. It’s feeling secure in expressing my fears, sharing my vulnerabilities and embracing my dreams. It’s knowing without a doubt, that I am exactly where I need to be and with the guidance of the Universe, I can manifest all that I desire. I am enough.

Travel. Feet touching fresh soil. Arriving in the unknown, new countries and destinations to explore. It’s immersing myself in different cultures, soaking up the sounds, absorbing the smells, taking in the sights, embarking on new adventures and creating memories forever etched on my brain. To me, there is nothing quite like it.

Manifestation. It’s allowing my mind to dream and imagine all that I desire with no boundaries, no restrictions. With no one telling me, “You can’t do that”. What kind of life do I want to create for myself? Who do I envision sharing it with? What will I do that fulfils me creatively and spiritually? What do I want to see? What do I want to experience? What does my perfect day look like? How can I empower and bring positive vibes to the lives of others? A limitless array of questions and possibilities—to explore and align with small steps to bring to reality.

CONNECTION is…

Spirituality. Being in alignment with a force that’s greater than me. It’s trusting that the Universe has my back and is guiding me towards all that I desire and all that is meant for me. It’s connecting with my angels, and spirit guides through conversation and meditation, asking them for support and trusting their protection. It’s noticing the array of signs that are left for me to guide me on my journey. Songs, feathers, butterflies, flickers of light. All ways of connecting and communicating with a world beyond the physical realm that we see.

Conversation. With friends, with family, with loved ones, with strangers even. The power of communication is evident in every relationship. It’s connecting on a level beyond the surface, communicating to each other’s souls, transcending the mundane, touching the heart and lighting the spirit. It’s laughter over morning brunch, sharing stories and updates through FaceTime, caring to discover a complete stranger, or baring one’s soul to another over wine. Conversation can ignite a connection, and the lack of it can destroy others. The small act of conversation has the power to make someone’s day that little bit brighter.

Mother Nature. Taking time out of my day or week to ground my feet in the earth. Recharging my soul and absorbing the energy that only Mother Nature can provide. It’s switching off from the world’s chaos, getting off the couch, disconnecting from social media, and taking in the natural beauty surrounding us, which we so often take for granted. It could be walks on the beach or strolls in the neighbourhood with Frida. It could be just sitting still in silence. No Spotify playlists, no phone conversations. Just my breath and the earth’s soundtrack.
